This was the transport route for the fuselage, wings and other components. The disassembled tail was hauled at a later time along the same route, and, like the wings, did not require road closures or other extraordinary handling.
Fuselage transport speed through unobstructed segments of open roads such as segments of highway 219 might have been be as high as 20 mph. In urban and congested areas, speed was about 3 mph. In intersections, speed was very slow.
The total distance of this route to my home site is precisely 18.2 Km, but the turn onto Denfeld's property occurred at very roughly 18.0 Km.
Starting at the Hillsboro Fair Complex, on the turf just south of the Cavanaugh's hotel, proceeding (hold times are for the fuselage move):
North on NW 34th Avenue to Cornell Road (very short distance), then hold until roughly 1:00 AM
West, then South, on NE Cornell Road, then hold before crossing the Max light rail tracks at roughly 2:00 AM
South on 10th Avenue, to SE Baseline Street
West on SE Baseline Street to S 1st Avenue
South on S 1st Avenue, becomes Highway 219
South on Highway 219 to Bald Peak Road
Southwest on Bald Peak Road to SW Campbell Road
South on SW Campbell Road to Holly Hill Road
West on Holly Hill Road for 1.1 miles
Exit onto the Campbell property or the Denfeld property, a neighbor. We exited onto the Denfeld property.
A longer optional route, which was not used, is as follows:
